2020 Will Be A Generational Year For Hip-Hop

It’s been a quiet year from the big dogs in the rap game. The 2019 Hip-Hop scene has been headlined by Tyler, The Creator and MadGibbs, while also allowing up and coming artist to have their time to shine. This year has allowed the likes of Benny The Butcher and other Griselda members to insert themselves as a new force in the industry, and simultaneously saw several rappers have breakout debuts like YBN Cordae. As good as it’s been many fans including myself have asked the question, where are the elite’s at? Now we did get Kanye’s album just a few weeks ago, but other than that Hip-Hops best have been quite dormant. A theory I have donned is that most of them were holding out this year in order to make a huge splash at the start of the next decade. The list of rappers due to release is truly mind boggling, and it excites me to fantasize about how great next year can be. Although all the rappers I will list haven’t confirmed a project, its safe to say that if they haven’t released anything in two or more years they are bound to drop in 2020. I will put the title of the album if the artist has confirmed it. Man this year is going to be special.
